Are you an owner of a pet rock? a pebble is a species of pet rock, remember you must be very careful of packs of wild rocks as these are not domesticated....I have found a funny little booklet on how to train your pet rock, with sections on teaching tricks such as sit and stay, also how to tech your pet rock to attack by throwing it... mine came with a little cardboard travel case with holes in the sides for air and an adoption certificate to say i am the legal owner... so does anyone out there have a pet rock?

This reminds me of a theory about play and child development, this links in with Projective play, see below.

Three Stages Of Play – Dr Sue Jennings

1.Embodiment play

Play which involves the child in tactile contact with a malleable substance.

Eg, sand, water, playdo, peat, wet spaghetti, string

2.Projected play

Play which involves a child in assigning a character and/or set of characteristics onto a fantasy object.

Eg, dolls, play people, stones, shells. Can also include imaginary friends.

3.Role play

Taking on and playing out the characters or characteristics of others.

Eg, home corner, dressing up.

Each child starts to play in the embodiment play stage. This can be seen in very young children when they play with their food, for example.

Each child will move to the next stage when they are ready, but can only move from stages 1 – 2 and 2 - 3. In other words, it is not possible to ‘jump’ a stage. There are no set ages for when this shift will or should happen.

Once a child has left a stage, they can return to it at any point, and once they have gone through all three stages, they can go in and out of all the stages at random.

Jennings goes on to say that which ever area we were dominant in as a child will deterime the work we do as adults.

Eg: Footballers are thought to have been dominant in the Embodiment stage.

I had a pet rock right up until yesterday. She got in a fight with a neighbor's per rock and next thing you know shards of granite was flying everywhere. My neighbor's rock was a fancy piece of marble, so she demanded that I put my rock down for testing.
The only good thing that came out of this was I found out my rock was a geode full of amethyst.

Loads. Our local rock shop sells them with eyes and feet and I picked the ones which crystal feng shui indicates will improve financial matters. Hasn't been successful so far.

No way! they are uninteresting and don't DO something. heavily, why might you desire a puppy rock? basically my opinion although. in case you like a puppy rock, get one. it is not that extraordinary and if no person had them, then they does not sell them, maximum suitable? yet in my opinion i do in comparison to them. they simply look so pointless.

No, but it sounds just like my relationship with the neighbour's cat. The main difference is that yours is not expensive. Cats are just eating and sleeping machines and this silly one is going to bankrupt me. Help!!
