The Spring

The Spring is the key;
To new lives
Looking for a new start
The bee wonders in the lea
Making a sound "BEE"
Smelling the fresh tea
Gee with yellow butterflies
Searching for a bud
Searching for a honey
To feed little ones
The Spring is new start.

is this okay poem???

It's pretty good. Expresses that Spring is a time for renewal and freshness. I like it.

You did not start with perfect rhyme. Lea, bee, and tea rhyme too much. How about,
The Spring is the key
To new lives
Looking for a new start
The bee wanders in the lea
Making a joyful sound
Smelling the fresh tea
Along with yellow butterflies
Searching for a bud
Seeking the sweet nectar
To feed little ones
The Spring is a new start.

This is just a suggestion.

u don't need the semi-colon after "key"
yeah, bee doesn't make sound "BEE"
what do u mean w/ "gee"? its kind of a strange slang to have in a poem

butterflies DO alight on flowers...and they do drink honey i think
but take out the "a" in "a honey"..it is just "searching for honey"
The Spring is a New Start... u need to put "a" before New Start

What does the word lea mean? Bees don't search for honey, they make it. They search for pollen and they make more of a buzz sound than a bee sound.

It depends on your age.
I played around with it a bit.
See what you think...

Bees, butterflies,
buds and blooms.
Nests for babies,
birthing rooms.
Rain showers,
then skies of blue,
Spring is the time
for all things new.

I don't much care for the line about making a sound "BEE". Bees don't go "bee", they go "bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz".

Also, butterflies don't search for honey.

And you shouldn't start a line with "gee". It isn't a word.
