More than a secretary and usually hard to get placed depending on where they got their education. You should start your own transcription service. I really do not know. It goes by line count. Line count is up to fifteen cents a line.

Avoid this profession, they are being replaced by transcriptionists in INdia who are making 15 cents on the dollar and are working all night while we are sleeping....like customer service for many things. I know I work in a busy hospital.........work on saving money in healthcare on your own bills and get a nursing degree...the book "Healthcare for Less" by Michelle Katz will help you save money on your healthcare while you go to school....it help a friend of mine!!!!
