I have just study in UK 4 nearly 2 month. 4 I want to stay here until I finish my University, my Englishi must be good enough. Now I'm studying in a college and doing A-LEVEL. Most of my classmates are local students. To tell the truth, our Chinese students usually want to make friends with the local students. But the mainly reason stop us from doing it is that our language is not as good as the locals and sometimes we will make some grammar mistakes..that is what i worried about. And also, it is very difficult to join a topic 4 all the teenagers are speak the unnormally English.

I want to make friends with not only Chinese but also Locals..Could u give me some advise??

Hey, I'm Chinese too and I can remember when I first started out not knowing any English. If you're lucky, you'll meet English kids that would take you for who you are and not care about your bad English. But just try really hard to perfect your English, be nice to people, smile all the time, and friends and good English will follow.

It can be hard but it is really good that you want to mix with local students. The best way to do it is to join some clubs. Your school or college should have clubs you can join, chess, climbing, film. Then you will get to know people while you are doing some thing. You could do the Duke of Edinburgh's award as that would mean you would do 4 different things some of them with other people. You could also look for a lively church in your area that organises things for teenagers. Ask some of your teachers and some one should know what there is in your area. Also be friendly and talk to other people when you are waiting for lunch or before classes, some will not be friendly back (there are unfriendly people all over the world) but some will and then you can look out for them and stand by them or sit by them another time. Some places have things for international students, again ask you teachers.

Political circumstances have been worse in Nineteen Seventies & 80s whilst pupil politics in college started. pupils must be in touch with political circumstances, financial & distant places rules. And enter lively - effective - sparkling politics whilst they get activity or settle in company or occupation.
