Do your hair at a medium length, make up glitter-free, clothes not too tight, mature looking shoes. Did the trick for me. Good luck! And just know, no matter how old you look, it's what you say and do that will make people realize you are older.

I'm 21 years old, and people mistake me for 12. 12! Ridiculous. Makeup will definitely make you look older, but why wear makeup just to do that? I just hope I can look this young when I"m a lot older.
If it really bothers you, just try wearing more sophisticated clothing, like suits. For casual wear, just make sure you stay clear of the trends in Seventeen magazine and shop in stores made for more mature women. Try not to worry about it too much. It's a compliment to look young. I bet everyone's jealous.

does your sister look too old for her age or do u look young for your age? if you mean she looks more mature, then treat yourself to a grown and sexy look for your up coming birthday; a new hair color, hairstyle or lip color. Don' t wear glittery tops that say BABYGIRL, PRINCESS, PIMPSTRESS and the like. don't dress like a high schooler. Don't be afraid to show your curves. the actual shape of your body will always be the same whether you are a size 2 or a 20. Casual clothes always make a female look more mature to me (like slacks some nice heels ) close to work attire but not the strickly business attire. You know, the clothes and shoes we wish we can wear to work but don't want to work in. Do you get your eyebrows arched? sometimes this makes a big difference in young girls. however if you just have a cute baby face, BE HAPPY.

If you wish to look older, then I would suggest for you to start wearing clothes in which are age appropriate. This should help you achieve your goal of looking your own age. Other then that I would say you could try different makeup techniques and pick much more mature eyeshadow shades. I would stay clear of the hot pinks, bright blues, etc.

Why do you care?
Even if it were important, you will be relieved years from now when you're 70 but your 66 year old younger sister looks like she's 80.
In the meantime, don't worry about it. It's just not important.

Enjoy it while you can. You stop being asked for ID soon enough. I remember being 18 and wanting to be 21. Now I'm almost 49 and wish I was 18 again.

You don't need to fix it. I always looked super young for my age. and guess what I'm 39 and everyone thinks I'm 25. It's much better to look younger. Don't feel hurt by that feel fortunate. You'll love it someday!

I'm not sure if you wear makeup or not but try going for a mature non-plastic look. Make it look natural. If you dress like your more mature then you will look the part to.
