I am 40 now! and we are not at 30s or 20s. You must think your 50s, you wont stay always 41, next year 42 soon 43 sooner 44 etc.
Will you guarantie yourself that you will stay healthy as present in next years to be able to do any job?

no do not settle for some random job just because financially ud be better off short term.

ure thinkin about you and your childrens long term future and you should be proud of yourself for this decision your making.

u can get by on grants and funding and some how 'll find a way to get through the next few years.

I've known older folk than you to be at college, some of them weren't even lecturers!

Seriously though, you're never too old for education, or too young for cocoa, a robe and slippers!

Once you complete your college you will find you earn much more money than you would taking an unskilled job.

I wish you well, and be nice to your teenage kids, as they will choose your old folks home!

no way!

i think it's great that you are bettering yourself. it's good for you and it's good for your children too- because they will see what you do and look up to you for working so hard at something you love to do. it may even inspire them to go into the medical field.

just realize that there is a major time commitment involved when it comes to studying and being in class on time and all that.

money may be tight for awhile. make your children understand that. hopefully you will get good alimony and child support, as well as support from the kids (taking care of the chores, etc. while you study for an exam).

good luck!

well the obvious answer if go for it girl. 41 is hardly any age at all, you still have a good 25 years in the work place so why not make it a happy 25 yrs.

You are never to old to learn.

I am 44 and going to college one day a week for a computer qualification.

The more qualifications you have the more choice of jobs you will have, and also you will be able to earn more.

my mom was in the same situation. she was 39 and found herself in a new country. four years later she has a great boyfriend who appreciates her the way she deserves, has a new proffession (she was a teacher before) and a new much better life. It's never too late. Trust that everything will be great. whatever happens, happens for a reason.
