gotta change it so it looks like this: y = mx + b

3x - y = -2

y = 3x+2

3/1 = m (slope), 2 is the y intercept

y=m*x +b y= 3*x+2 m=3 b=2

Add a 'y' to both sides and subtract a '-2' from both sides to put it into slope-intercept form ( y = mx + b ).
The co-efficient of 'x' is the slope and 'b' is the y-intercept.

the slope is 3, the intercept is 2 (yes i mean positive two...)

Rearrange it into y=mx+b form
3x – y = –2
+y...........+y
3x = y -2
+2........+2
3x+2 = y
y = 3x + 2
slope is 3 and y-intercept is 2.
