UofCalifornia Berkeley is doing what appears to be a really cool science project where you search for microscopic pieces of dust from comets that has been trapped by space vehicles. I was wondering if anyone was doing it and if it was as cool as it looks?

I am indeed participating, if sporadically. The user-interface makes me feel like too much of a data-processing machine, though. Too many images with too little meaning. A wonderful project, though, and one with my full support.

I just took the tutorial and test and it is challenging. I doubt many people will take the time to do it. Unlike seti@home, this actually requires some effort! It is really cool though. I hope I get better. I only got 8 out of 10 on the test. Both misses were not marking tracks where their was one. I suspect a false positive is better than a false negative.
