There are 12 Federal Reserve branches. They are located in:

Boston
New York
Philadelphia
Cleveland
Richmond
Atlanta
Chicago
St. Louis
Minneapolis
Kansas City
Dallas
San Francisco

One of the original intent of having branches was that no bank should be more than one day's buggy ride to their nearest Fed Bank. Some in Congress later lobbied it should be in the biggest cities. In the end the final decision was based on a political compromise of those with power. At the time, Missouri had some key connections which is why it got two branches.
