My son really has a super loathing for homework. I know, wierd huh? Anyway, I'm wondering what I can do as a parent to encourage him to keep up with homework, and not hide it. (other than give him his own room, desk, special lighting, quiet down the house for him and be available for questions-I do/did that already)

good idea, but I don't want to bribe or pay my son for doing what he should be doing already.

i only hate doing homework but my mom said to do my homework do good and to get it over with so i can get out of school and if i didnt do my homework i get no computer, and i do my homework as soon as i get home. so try threatening to take away something he likes alot and cant live without. that might work
Its not Bribing its taking Authority as a parent, telling your son that he has to do his homewrok and cant do anything else until he is done his hoemwork.

I hope that u take the best advise and i hope u get your son to do his homework.

rewards and punishments.. if he doesn't do his required homework, take away the computer,tv and/or video game system. Threaten his compliance with what he loves most.. no matter what kind of setup you give a kid, homework won't be fun and it was never intended to be a good time. Thus the word "work." This will prepare your son for the future implications of work. If a man doesn't work, his bills won't get paid and his safety, security and recreation will vanish.

It does, even though it also teaches them duty. childrens who bypass looking or objective capturing in many cases respect guns and could no longer manage them as toys. If Hollywood made extra previous-kind Westerns (perchance a sparkling Davy Crockett action picture) and we had a Roy Rogers for our technology, college shootings would decrease as childrens will provide up idolising inner city thugs who homicide human beings and quite stick with the cowboy way: protect the susceptible, be well mannered to women folk, artwork flat out, and use violence purely as a very last motel

Just set up consequences for your son if he isn't doing what he's supposed to. Like you heaven't heard that one, right? :)

I'd say that or plain bribery (which you posted that you didn't favor, with good reason.)

try little incentives. say if you do your homework and i see that you've done it, then you'll get this. or something similar.
