as far as i'm aware, doesn't that violate the terms of service in EACH of those games?

and i'm not talking about the scammers that say they'll help people, those are just dumb. i'm talking about people who outright ask for free accounts. or, funnily enough, those that say "they are now accepting free accounts".

not just free accounts either. free stuff. free equipment. free money.

that's called power-equipping, and is usually a nukable/ban-able offense in many games

I honestly don't know. I would think the answer would vary from game to game, depending on the company.

What I don't understand is why people nag and beg for free gaming accounts for free online games. The game is free to begin with, so go ahead and make an account, and then you'll have your "free account lolz." Seriously, put some time and effort into your games a little bit. It's not hard.

I just figure that people are completely lazy and expect everything to be handed to them. I guess it just needs to be learned that not everyone is going to turn around and say, "I spent WEEKS getting to level 90, so of COURSE I'll give you my account name and password for free. You shouldn't have to do ANYTHING or work for it! My time is not valuable at all!"

Yeah, so much for that "doing things for yourself" and "being proud of your accomplishments" stuff. Way to go.

Scammers are another story, and frankly, not worth -my- time to discuss.

What's even worse is people are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for an account. Do a search on Ebay for "Maple Story accounts" or "World Of Warcraft accounts" and you will find literally hundreds of auctions. And I've seen many auctions finish with $400+.

The funny thing is alot of those people are asking for free accounts on free games. The ones that irk me are the ones asking for free Guild Wars accounts. That is one of the best parts of those games, pay for the game and then it is free for aslong as you own it. They are just lazy and dont want to fork over the money.

They just don't feel like working for their own. Which is really sad. I don't think they realize that a account you never worked on... Isn't yours. You can feel no satisfaction in using someone elses achievements. Unless you've always been a moocher.
