Yep, as long as he/she is not allergic. As long as your child doesn't have any major health issues, by age 1 it is safe to give them anything that they have enough teeth to chew properly. Tuna doesn't take much, as far as teeth, so I wouldn't worry about it being a choking hazard.
My only issue would be, it's not a very friendly food to try to eat with your hands and children at that age like to feed themselves. So, unless you were going to feed it to the child it could be darn near impossible to pick up itty pieces of tuna especially after the toddler fingers have mashed them to heck.
Just the opinion of a mom of 3 boys :)

My daughter is a little over a year old and I never heard anything about not giving her tuna. I've given her canned tuna plenty of times and she's never gotten sick on me. Of course each person is different and you never know if the baby can have an allergic reaction. I would just do it if you want to. At least you'll know if he's allergic or not.

The immune system is still developing and the tuna fish could have a dramatic reaction, so I'd wait until the little one is 7 or 8 before eating tuna fish.

Tuna will be wonderful for an occasional meal. yet in view that she's so small then you definately will want to be troubled about the mercury content textile contained in the fish. frequently the declaring is the bigger the fish the more desirable mercury contained in the beef. i might want to apply an analogous caution as once you've been pregnant yet for her, a pair of times per week must be wonderful.

You should check with your baby's pediatrician. He might be too young to have canned tuna.

i think so... a baby thats one can eat almost anything they can chew, but if they dont have many teeth then it might be a bad idea.
