My computer automatically put a "LimeWire Tunes" folder in my iTunes program but i can't get those songs to transfer over to my library and be on the actual nano. I've been fighting with this but don't have the time to click and click to magically make it work. HELP! (i know how to import a cd but not music thats in my limewire tunes).

This is the answer that I wrote to another question, and it got selected as the best. My friend also had the same problem, so I helped her using this same answer as well. So here's what I said:

First you need to know where your location folder from Limewire is -- in other words, the folder you chose to have all your songs download to. You can change that folder by clicking on 'Options' in Limewire, and then on 'Choose Folder'. When you are in iTunes, all you have to do is click 'Add files to library' from the 'File' menu. Then, you just find the folder where all your songs from Limewire download to. Once you've found it, choose the songs that you wish to be in you iTunes library, and click 'Add'.

a million. pass to the folder the place your iTunes song is saved (pass to the "application information" for that, below C:), 2. pass to the folder the place your LimeWire song is saved. in case you're uncertain, seek the call of one of the songs, then pass to it is area. 3. Make a clean folder in the iTunes song library with the artist's call on it (eg: U2) 4. Make a folder with the album's call below the artist's call (eg: Vertigo) 5. Drag-and-Drop the music into there. Re-call it if mandatory. it is if this fails: 1a. discover the folder the place your Limewire song is, making use of the training from the aft-suggested step 2. 2a. Open iTunes 3a. Drag-and-drop the music into your Library. in case you're making use of a distinctive computer for the two iTunes and Limewire, make the folders (Step 3-5) in a memory key and later circulate those folders into the in the previous-suggested iTunes Library. Then, sinc your iPod with iTunes. it is the least complicated way.

Open your limewire window and your ipod window and just drag the songs into your ipod library. You have to mess with it sometimes to get it to work but it will... The 'can't drag' symbol will change into a plus symbol
