Why is it that some people (christians) want laws telling other people that they don't have the right to choose to have an abortion, but they don't seem to care if they cremate someone? Wouldn't that be more important, since they think we will "rise" again?? Or is that the next item on "the agenda"!?

If I rise again after I die, I already have a set of plan set in motion because that would mean I'm a vampire.

1) Turn my friend Alex because she's obsessed with vamps
2) Turn my friend Greg 'cause he HATES vamps, just to laugh at him
3) Turn my friend Todd 'cause... well... like Alex he wants to be a vamp
4) Uh... start a night job in some big city where I'll never be spotted
5) Have unending sex with hundreds of people, 'cause I mean, C'MON! What STD could seriously kill me then?!

Cremation is a way of dealing with the body after death. Abortion is dealing with a life by taking it away. Very different issues. The Church does not condemn cremation any more, either.

It's not just Christians that abhor abortion. To compare cremation with abortion is unreal. Cremation is for the dead, abortion for the living being God created. Our souls go to heaven, not our body.

The difference is that you choose to abort someone else who has no say in the matter. With cremation, it is usually the choice of the deceased before they died.

Abortion is taking a life before there is a chance to live it.
Cremation is dealing with a body after the life has been lived.
It seems simple to me I say don't take my life before I get a chance to see the world, but after I have lived my life I don't care what you do with me.

Some Catholics are against cremation for that reason. (I know this because some woman told my mother it was wrong of her to have my dad cremated, despite the fact that he had specified that to be his choice.)

Creamation doesn't destroy the soul which isn't in the body. Everyone will rise again with a new body. Doesn't matter what condition their dead body is in.
