Have your ever tasted Fried Green Tomatoes and Sweet Potatoe Fries?

You got to try. Both of these dishes are good. Does anyone know any resturants that sale 'Frien Green Tomatoes'?

I'm from DC actually, but I lived in South Carolina for 2 years.

Fried Green Tomotoes are EXCELLENT..My Grandfather goes to the farm in the summers to bring me fresh green tomotoes..When you batter and fry them bad boys up--you are really eatin some Good Southern Cookin.

Go to a farmers market in your area and ask when they get the Green Tomotoes...And its simple to cook.

1. Heat fresh cooking oil in a frying pan on medium heat.

2. Rinse the tomatoes. Slice them up.

3. Coat them with Flour

4. When the oil is Hot, (test by putting flour in it to see if it sizzles). Place the tomoatoes in the pan, one by one. Dont crowd the pan--and spread them out.

5. When they start to turn light brown, Season them with Adobe Seasoning & Black Pepper while they are Still in The Pan--that will make them taste really good. (You can find those in any grocery store)

6. Turn them over after about 2 minutes in the pan

7. When they are golden brown, remove them from the pan & place on a paper plate with Paper Towels on top to drain the oil.

8 Viola, youre done.

Now I have a taste for some SOME FRIED GREEN TOMOTOES! See what you did! :)

I cook and love fried green tomatoes have had them since I was a kid. I haven't tried sweet potato fries--I can hardly wait..as soon as I get to town I am going to get some sweet potatoes and give them a try---Thanks a lot...

I've not only tasted them, I've prepared them. You haven't really experienced the true fried green tomato or sweet potato fry until you've had home made. Mix fresh eggs, cracker crumbs, and a bit of flower. Fry in skillet until golden brown. Fabulous! Try it. I guarantee you've never tasted better.

i LOVE fried green tomatoes!! as soon as the tomatoes start in the garden i'm lookin for the ones that are gonna be a sanwich! Sweet potato fries are very good. dip mine in cinnamon sugar.
old mom and pop places sometimes still sell fried tomatoes but it's easier to do it yourself before you find a place that does.

i just looove fried green tomatoes im from the south and thats one thing we do know how to cook,lol.I dont know a resturant that sells them i guess cause around here everyone can cook them there selves.But fried green tom rock my fav food.When i first heard of them i was like yuck till i tried one and omg i fell in love i havent tried sweet potatoe fries they sound good ill have to out that on my to do list!!

I live in the South so I fry both green tomatoes and sweet potatoes. How about poke sallet in the spring? That's a good one, too!

I had fried green tomatoes once. they were awesome! I had them in a restaurant in Newport, Rhode Island of all places! I've never traveled to the deep south so I've never had the opportunity to experience authentic southern cooking. I'd love to go sometime though.

I have had fried green tomatoes before and yes they are yummy...my mom use to fry them as a part of out meals when I was younger.
now french fried sweet potatoes I have never tried, but that sounds good, how do you fry them? send me how you fry them and I will try it out....thanks.....cool question and thumbs up for you.

From the south, so of course I have. I even know how to make them. Very tasty!!!!
