The oldest zoo in Australia, thankfully there has been a complete overall in the attitude to the whole concept of zoos and Melbourne is moving towards the modernisation of its facilities (in fact the old 19th century brick and metal cages are now part of the exhibit to emphasise just how much things have moved on). Its a progressive place - during the summer months there's even live music at the Zoo (Zoo Twilights).- January-March. A$20 entrance, A$9.50 kids. Family tickets available (costs dependent on # of kids). Open 9.30 - 5pm, 365 days of the year.

um the person is asking for Australia zoo not melbourne zoo compleatly different states of australia, the australia zoo is in beewah in queenslands sunshine state and the address is www.australiazoo.com.au
