I'm saddened and heartbroken by his untimely death.

Unfortunately, there are some jerks here in Yahoo Answers who have posted inappropriate questions about the man.

Look, everyone is entitled to an opinion. But whatever happened about showing some respect for the recently deceased?

Lets let his family grieve. There will be plenty of time for armchair quarterbacking later.

I don't think anyone thinks it funny, I feel sad for his family, it is a very unfortunate accident, but Steve knew of the dangers of wild animals and it was a risk that he and his family were willing to take. You have to expect the worst and hope for the best when working with dangerous wild animals.
Nobody ever expected it to happen, but it did. Its just the risks of the profession. I am saddened that he has lost his life in the fashion that he did.
But let it be a lesson DONT GO MESSING AROUND WILD ANIMALS AND EXPECT NOTHING CAN HAPPEN TO YOU.

Oh gosh, yes, over 5000 people have posted the same question here and they won't stop asking. It's like no one has a life, they just hang on this stuff. Peace to Irwin's family, time to move on.

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

I am very sad about it and I cried when I heard about it. He was a good man and a great husband and father. Every time he was with his family we all could see the joy on his face, the twinkle in his eyes.

Those who think it's funny are stupid and better hope it doesn't happen to them!

It's sad, I've been down in the dumps for the past few days. The guy had a family who loved him and, his life was tragically (if not ironically) cut short... the man did a lot of good... I'm sad to see him go.

I haven't heard any body who thinks its funny although I've heard some say he deserved it :( I find comfort in thinking that if its true that your whole life flashes before your eyes before you die...Imagine the amazing things he would have seen! My heart bleeds for his lovely wife Terry and their gorgeous children Bindi and Little Bob.

I don't think it's funny and thankfully have not heard of anyone who does. That being said, it's just so hard to believe he really died from that sting ray sting! Breaks my heart for the family he I'm sure unwillingly left behind.

it will be unhappy even as a human existence is lost regardless of stature. We, no longer be counted what status we carry characteristic to existence and the type of this race. at the starting up after I heard of his demise, i presumed he possibly deserved it because of his way of existence. yet, in assessment to others he lived that way of existence with pastime and objective. I the surely ingredient that could be even sadder is that kin that he leaves behind because of his pastime and that i wish no longer his objective. existence will bypass on and there'll be others who will encourage us. - yahoo information article (qoute commented with the help of a pal of couric jon her new job as a solo information anchor.)
