you have to be 16 to try out for american idol...not sure of any other contests she could join but i know there are some! keep looking around!

Yes there were 3 16 year olds in the first round of finalists this past season. Oh, Paris was 16 by the way, and so was Kevin Covais

Umm, first of all the age limit is 16 not 18 and ur cousin should not look into pro singing until her vocal chords are fully matured, otherwise she could do some serious damage to her voice.

well american idol only accepts 16 years of age and up. but if i were her i would go to those little cafe's that have open mic nights....music producers go to those places lookin for talent when they are looking to give a record deal. best of luck to her!
