who knows what that really means-- I'm sure you spun that info to suit your own purposes. So big deal if he said get 20 f-15's instead of 40. What if the intent was to make way for newer advanced stuff like the advanced fighter (F-22?). Of course you're misleading by not providing full context.
Besides, in 1984 we were on a spending craze on the military- those were Reagan years and we had built up the largest deficit of all time (oh, before Bush)
It was over 20 years ago and the election was 3 years ago... get a life he's not even running. Who really gives a F about Kerry anyway.

but most of the people on answer were either just born or not born yet or a kid at the time Like me. I was 10 in 84' I had no idea who John Kerry was...Let alone care.

get over it, why are cons always crying over kerry this and clinton that...you guys have had nearly 8 years do do what ever you want and all you can do is whine "not my fault" and blame stuff from the past. lets blame bush 1 for not taking out saddam in the 80s, since cons think iraq and 9-11 are related, then bush 1 caused 9-11 right?
