Is it like your husband is from Mars? Does he say one thing and mean another? Wouldn't it be great if someone could tell us what men are really saying?

It's funny and sad at the same time isn't it? I have actually stopped a conversation in mid-sentence and picked apart and analyzed what each of us had said.....translating it so that we could both see how we were saying could be so misunderstood. And ya know what? It hasnt' changed much! LOL. What I have learned though is to be VERY specific when asking or telling information (even though I already was) and also I have learned to ask for SPECIFIC details of what my husband is telling me.
Our most common miscommunication is dinner time. He'll say, I'm not working late tonight. I'll say, ok, I'll cook dinner. Now.....this often gets misinterpreted by myself to mean that he will be joining us at home for dinner since he's not gonna be home late........but guess what!! We have more than once had that exchange of words, and still he'll come home after we have eaten at our normal dinner time!! It's insane! Point is, without exact times, confirmation that he will be home to eat WITH us, me actually asking him if he WANTS to eat........it doesn't happen.

Men and women speak two separate languages. Here is an example - Men -" I need to relax " real meaning I'm going to play golf or play cards with the guys, invite friends over for the game. Women - "I need to relax" real meaning would love to go to the spa for a massage, nice long bath, read a book. So as you can see the same statement means two things.

Seriously! Although I know that many women don't say what they really mean either. Men have the same issue with us. I wish we all could learn how to communicate better and it would save us alot of time arguing!

I don't think i'll ever figure out what my husband is saying. That's one of the reasons we split up, he talks in circles & never says what he really means.
It's like pulling teeth just trying to get a straight answer to anything you ask them & forget about them just saying whats on thier mind, it all comes out in a big jumble.
Definately worse than us.

If he gets off and your nevertheless apprehensive then get a protecting order out of your community police or call the Justice of the Peace if he starts off hardship. for the telephone numbers on your section you could google it.

Read Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus - it really helps and will make you laugh to boot when things are explained and you read and nod your head - yep that's him and then - yep, that's me! LOL

To understand your husband you have to get to know him and listen to him instead of thinking he should be just like one of your girlfriends.
