She's 40 years old. Even if she wasn't, she's your mother. If she wants to go pierce her nose as a reward for losing 20 lbs. then what business is it of yours. Let her live her life and you live your own.

Yeah, I think it is weird for your Mom to want to get her nose pierced.

Offer to pay for pedicures you can get done together instead. She is just trying to be young and hip. Maybe buy her something she would percieve as young and hip, like a new CD or perfume a teen would wear.

Well you can't stop her, she is a grown woman and can do as she likes. Be happy for her that she lost the weight and wants to treat herself. My mum is 10 years old than your mum, she has her upper ear and belly pierced and has about 10 tatoos. I love her for it and I'm not embarrassed, because she is super cool. I'm sure your mum is too. Take care : )

Since when does the child "let" the parent do anything? It's her nose, toots! Good for her for taking care of her health -- and she can celebrate however she chooses.

You should let her do what she wants. She worked hard to lose the weight so she deserves it.Remember when she wouldn't let you dod things when you were a kid? Well don't make her suffer through that lol

Why would you care? I would be very proud of her and take her out and show her off. She has went though a lot in her life, so let her live.

you should let you mother do what she wants. if she wants to reward herself for losing weight by piercing her nose, then let her. it's her life, not yours.
