It Su-cks that he's dead but considering the fact that he was a well trained animal handler who had many years of experience, he should have known better.
I have dived(scuba) "Stingray City" in Grand Cayman and fed the rays. I even had one land on my head. They were the most placid animals in the water as long as you don't step on them or pi-ss them off.
I hate to say it but in my opinion Steve Irwin was screwing around trying to get "exciting" shots for the camera and got Zapped for his trouble! Like I said before, He above All others, should have know better!!!!

Yeah. I felt like crap when I found out he died. It is so strange the way he died. I'm very sad. My heart goes out to his friends and family. The only good thing about his death was that he died doing what he loved. He was and will always be the person that made me love all kinds of animals. He was a big inspiration. RIP Steve Irwin. RIP.

I think that he was a wonderful man who worked to educate others, and managed to do this fantastically. I have a five year old cousin who was absolutely devastated by this news, as she wanted so much to grow up to be his assistant...
I have to admit, I was close to tears when my brother told me about his death, it was so weird how he was only the second/third person to be killed this way. He has done so much for the world and was so likable- his TV shows were great!

At first I thought he was arrogant and full of himself, but then I realized his personality was just naturally loud and exuberant. I applaud anyone who works to preserve the environment and educate others about wildlife. I'm sad that he's gone. I feel badly for his wife Terri and his two children.

It is very sad. Its kinda like irony. But i used to wathc his shows whne i was little. I loved when he would say CRIKEY! When he got close to the animals. Its very sad. And the sad part is that he was doing that video for his daughter for her school project.

He died doing what he loved and loving what he did. Crocodile Hunter was the essence of whom he was. He knew full well he was playing with fire, but oh well, life on the job.
