There are many parts to an atom - all of which have a mass (no matter how intrinsic it may be), so technically there are solid "parts" in an atom. However, by definition a solid and a gas are physical descriptions of how atoms/compounds exist.

The atom is what makes up the solid, liquid or gas. Everything on earth and in space is either a solid, liquid or gas. No matter what it is, it is made up of atoms.

atoms are technically solid. because the state depends on what the intermollecular forces are. so for something to be a solid then the atoms it is made of should have to be solid.

Solids, liquids and gases are all composed of (neutral) atoms. The binding forces between the atoms determine the state of the material.
