Just worry about yourself and get to work on time. What happens to anyone else is none of your business. Maybe the other person is his brother-in-law.

Do you know for sure that the late guy has not gotten into trouble? Do you know if he has talked to his boss because he needs to be late, and for a good reason?
Concentrate on getting yourself to work on time and don't worry about what other people are doing. You don't know his situation. Mind your business.
