I'd like to know how people feel about abortion. I personally believe it's one of the worst acts of violence a person can commit. But I want to know what everyone else thinks. Please provide good solid explanations for why you believe its wrong or right!

i agree with you....all i know is i got pregnant at 17 way back when it was not the thing to do...my dad was a baptist minister...but i know i hurt him and i had to leave the state but i could not kill my child...i think abortion is wrong..i have talked to some who has had abortions or given a child away and they never forget it...i imagine their is some that do not care but i think a normal moral person would be sorry somewhere down the line....i loved my child, even before he was born...he is part of the person that concieved him...if they can kill their own what else are they capable of...

It's really difficult to say until you're faced with that choice. One can hypothosize until they're blue in the face but until you are in the situation I don't think you can for certain what you're actual feelings on the subject are. I am totally pro-choice, always have been, always will be. I totally understand both sides, I think that the girls that use abortion as birth control are absolutely dispicable and deserve to be hit by a moving semi, but women who have a situation where it is an "accident", for lack of a better term deserve to be able to make that decision. Believe me, it's not an easy decision to make once you're faced with going through with a pregnancy and bringing a child into the world that you can't provide for, whether that be financially provide for, emotionally provide for, etc.......when you're faced with that reality, the choice between that and abortion becomes a little different. I know, "you can give the child up for adoption, you don't have to kill the child, give it a chance", that all sounds well and good until it comes right down to it. I hope to God that you are never put into that position, but if you ever are, I know you probably won't believe me, but you may change your tune.

The bible states "Thou shalt not kill" it doesnt say before conception or after, and by that little being having a beating heart, it is living, and that is killing. However, our society today has made exceptions out of our own selfishness. It is an individual choice & I am sure it is not pleasant, even if you decide to have one. It is very sad that there are so many people that can not conceive & then there are so many abortions....but then I am sure some feel it too hard to carry a baby 9 mos, feel it move inside you & then give it away....once again, it is an individual choice.

For the most part, I think it's wrong. Because it's a human life. However, if the mother's life is in danger, I'd have to reconsider and think really hard on how I'd feel about it. Because the choice would be a life for a life.

I think it is much worse to bring someone into this world and let it fend for itself the rest of it's life. It would be better for everyone concerned to terminate it asap rather than let it slowly starve or sold into slavery like is the case in a large portion of this world.

i went to great lengths to keep from having a second child, surgery, i couldnt take pills because it affected my body badly, i still got pregnant, i had a nervous break down till i got rid of it. I dont regret it. it was my body and my business, i had to have the surgery again and then i made my husband have surgery too, finally i could relax a bit.

It depends with me.....
I'm not pro-life or pro-abortion.....I'm pro-choice.....
ie: pregnancy caused by a rape...woman's choice!
minor female....her choice!
unwed expecting mom....mother's choice!
Medical Dr. advice to abort.....woman's choice...
Now a promiscuious couple....should be more careful!
It's a complicated issue....you just can't force people to do things....!
