u r gonna have the best time in the world!!!!
im here right now (in bp) and have been for the past 5 months, come for vacation and just couldnt leave....
good tips? its beautiful so bring a cam.....
now seriously.....
getting aroung here is really easy, the public transportation isreally easy to use and gets everywhere.... there are buses trams and metro, one of the first thing u shold do is get a ticket, u are better of getting a ticket for the amount of time u r staying like a two week ticket than a single ticket.
the peopel here cant be the best of help because lots of them dont speak english, so you should could prepared and dont let them cheat u..... (sellings, taxi and prices).
there are loads of things to see here, from museams, to circus, to a huge zoo, loads of places to party, clubs, bars, dance clubs,
the are many huge parks where you can just sit with a book or an ice cream and relax.....
november will be here extra cold so come prepared.....
unfortunatly by then i wont be here but if want more info feel free to contact me by mail.....

Dont.
It's freaking freezing cold.
If you really want to, focus on indoor activities, like the Budapest mineral pools, the cozy coffee shops, and other indoor activities.
Leave seeing things like the outside of castle Buda, and the chain bridge for the afternoons (when it is a little, but not a lot warmer)
The Hungarians are very friendly folks, but their English varies between crap and none.
Do have a good time,take a thick coat and really try to go to the mineral pools.(Hot water springs).

just go on a sightseeing tour it is a beautiful city... and try to see both parts.. there is the pest part the older part of town (i like that one better) and the new one buda... it is interesting how the whole place is divided by the river..... just invest in a guided sightseeing tour . have fun

I hear you are better off staying in and around Buda and DON'T go into Pest - (this is serious, by the way, it's 2 cities, Buda and Pest) - Pest is allegedly heavily crime-ridden.
