Who knows? We can't second guess what God does or what he was trying to tell us. Everyone no doubt has his or her own interpretation of the Titanic tragedy. It's like any other major disaster, such as 9/11, the Tsunami, earthquakes, fires, etc.
Here's my thoughts on the subject. These mass disasters resulting in the lives of thousands of innocent people are wake-up calls. The world has become a treacherous and blasphemous place. It angers God to see what's become of society. So he's trying to get our attention, but evidently it's not working all that well.
Okay! Next?

God had a very clear message with the sinking of the titanic, which is:
"If you die in a tragic accident that has nothing to do with god, then someone will make a movie about it 60 years later."

I think that at the time of it's launch, The Titanic was somewhat over-rated in terms of it's engineering greatness.... It was claimed that it was unsinkable, and alas it was proved wrong.
The lesson learned?... never believe that anything is impenetrable or invincible.
Perhaps we should realise that man and nature can be flawed, no matter how perfect either may seem.
As for god...? well, you better speak to him about that one.

The lesson that can be learned is that all structures serving the public need to have uncompromisingly solid design/engineering that conforms to code.
Maybe there was no "code" at the time, but the designer of the boat knew that the ship would sink before it did sink. What the hell was he thinking?

God indeed has a big message on titanic, he wanted to value his powers, not to underestimate them, especially when they called it the unsinkable ship! He wanted to show that nothing is impossible, especially not for God!

Well one of the people the made or financed the titanic said "not even God could sink this ship".
I think it is a great lesson.
Gods message is dont tell him what he can or cant do.
Have faith

Well, it did challenge God in some very serious ways. That was their first stupid mistake. I don't think God did it though, I think it just happened. Quite simply, and if you're looking for lessons in the normality of it, then don't challenge God, be humble, take the time to plot out your journey a bit better, and watch out for icebergs.

Don't know whether they learned the lesson.
They keep building enormous ships with many decks which carry thousands of passengers traveling just for fun...
Isn't that stretching the good luck?

That He created us all equal in His eyes so for the "upper class" people to shove the "lower class" people away from the life boats was not the way He would have wanted it. The tragedy should have been an equalizer and if the "haves" would have helped the "have-nots" perhaps more people would have survived.
