RE:
What's the best and most confidential suicide hotline to call?
I want to call a suicide hotline, but I don't want my parents to find out that I called them. I need one that's confidential and one where the people are really nice.

I volunteered at one for a while.... we have no tracing equipment, we don't call the cops, etc..... we're essentially like priests ---> we have to be confidential or else no one uses our service. So call them up, tell them your deepest, darkest secrets, and just hope you don't get a whackjob on the other line. I did this as part of my Ph.D. training, so I wasn't a weirdo, but there were plenty of freaks that worked there and got off on hearing the s h i t t y lives of other people. It was STRANGE. I think it might make you feel better though to know that the person on the other end of the line is most likely more psychotic than you. Best of luck! Plz don't killllllll uuuuuuurrrrrsselff!!!! :)

A lot of people have been there before. You'll get through it. If not, email me and I can tell you some personal stories. I don't know a hotline number, but you should check out these satistics. Don't let this life get the best of you. I know how the demands of society and your peers can be, but I don't think some parents undertsand that. It seems they only know the demands of society economically wise. But fail to accept the stress but on today's youthe. Take care Love!
EDIT: If you decide to contact me, leave an address for me to respond to.

I agree with zz. .
if you can't find one you like, call a local church and talk to the pastor or his secretary
also, you can look in your phone book (yellow pages) under mental health and or at-risk counselors or something like that. . and you might find something there. . (someone to call).
if not, email me: sprectator@yahoo.com and I'll be happy to help you find someone in your area.
