MEN ask US to dances, that's how it goes.
And if he doesn't ask you, he's not worth it, trust me someone else will ask if if not.

Asking a guy to a dance is like a pimple on our unblemished skin....
Trust me. I mean, I've only gone to a gazzilion dances (lol)

Girl, just ask him! This is NOT 1950. We do not have to wait around for the BOY to do all the asking. Do it yourself, what's the worst that could happen? If he says no, well, then you are too good for him anyway. And you'll find someone else to go to the dance with. Don't be shy, just walk up to him and say "hey! Joe! Who are you going to the dance with?" really casually. If he says a name, say "cool, I'll see you there." If he says no one, then say "wanna go together?" He'll probably be relieved that he didn't have to do the asking.

Ask him who he is going to ask to the dance? Then if he says he doesn't know, say, why don't you ask me? That way if he is asking someone else, you save face. And if he wants to ask you, he feels like it's his idea.

Do something cute, like go to his house and decorate his room with a theme like say fish. And write a peom like "of all of the fish in the sea I want you to go to the dance with me". Or you could do his car if he has one. Pick a theme that goes with who you are. Good luck!
