So comforting to know I need to be reminded...to get out my checkbook, and start spending on superflous garbage for Halloween, T-Giving, X-Mas.

I am NO cynic when it comes to the holidays. I am getting burned out that the shopping cycle is pressed into service so early as to make me vomit.

Then don't do it! Don't be salve to the system, be creative and figure out something else to do. Like make a special dinner or go on trip or paint something...Who knows?!

Free your self and let every one know what to expect of you this year and here on out, that way no feelings are hurt. Chances are people will be relieved that you would expect the same from them.

I agree, we need to boycott the retailers, everyone wants your money. Especially the telemarketers & police, & firemen raising funds for some cause. Only 2% if that goes toward the cause. If they call, tell them you don't have any money, & don't bother me, take my name off your list! I don't have any problem doing that! I've saved on groceries by growing my own, & canning it! Call me stingy, call me the scrouge! There are plenty of other suckers out there pouring their money into crap made in China!
