OK. Algebra's tough, isn't it? So first, gather your like terms (find all the numbers with the m variable)
9m, -4m, -5m. 9 minus 4, minus 5 equals what?
Then gather your integers. 8 and 7. 8 plus 7 equals what?
Notice that the answer is kind of tricky. Remember that 0 times anything is . . . 0.
Good luck

Add up the positive numbers. 9m is a positive so 9+8+7 which is 24. Now add all of the negative numbers. 4+5=9. Now subtract these neg numbers from the pos numbers. 24-9. Answer is 15. This is called "collecting all like terms".

+8-4m+7-4m
Multiply m and 9
Multiply m and 1
The m just gets copied along.
Doing a bit of algebra...
m
m
Let's see, ummmm...
9m
Checking out what you typed...
9m+8
Multiply m and 4
Multiply m and 1
Wait...I'm thinking....
The m just gets copied along.
Ok, this goes here...
m
m
Doing a bit of algebra...
4m
9m - 4m = 5m
I'm working on your answer...
5m+8
Wait...I'm thinking....
5m+8
8 + 7 = 15
15+5m
Let's see, ummmm...
15+5m
Multiply m and 4
Multiply m and 1
I'm working on your answer...
The m just gets copied along.
Ok, this goes here...
m
m
This isn't part of the answer...just my own internal thinking....
4m
5m - 4m = m
Doing a bit of algebra...
m+15
I'm working on your answer...
m+15
