I think if I tried to count them, this question would be closed by the time I was done!
OK, so that's a an exaggeration, but if I had to guess I would say at least 300. Books have overflowed from my massive bookcase and now reside everywhere in my house due to lack of storage. I donated about two dozen to my local library's book sale a few months ago and it was so difficult to part with them. Even old textbooks that I know I will never look at again seem to find a home here.

Err a lot. 4 bookshelves with (i did a quick count of one) about 350 books on each, stacked 2 deep on some shelves, plus books in boxes under the bed and under the stairs so 1500-2000 probably.
About 70% are fiction the rest are made up of History, Science, Politics, Engineering and a horrible amount of IT books.

TOO MANY TO COUNT! I may never get to read all of them, but I love having books around me. I love libraries and would love to be locked in one for a year with no distractions and read from Aardvark to Zoology and everything in between - mysteries, biographies, how-to books, history, fine arts, plays, Shakespeare, about cats & dogs, about Wicca and Budhism, and everything else. Which pretty much describes the books I have. I have favorites that I read over again and newbies, I'm not certain I like, but will slog on until I find that gem that made me buy it. SO MANY BOOKS! SO LITTLE TIME!

About 300 and I love it. There's something really satisfying about looking at my book cases bursting at the seams. I have read about 75% of them, so a few more to go and I still keep buying more. This doen't include the 30 or so cook books in my kitchen and the 100 or so in my childrens room. Books are great.

I own so many books that I dont even know where to start counting them. most of them are from school where I did not return the books and ended up with them years later.oops!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my, too many to even start to count, i've got a house stuffed full of them & i just keep on reading. I have been an avid reader since my Enid Blyton days, a long, long time ago! Im reading the Davinci Code at the moment.

I don't know what the exact count is at right now, but we have every Stephen King book ever written, and also we just moved this summer and when we packed it took 8 good size boxes to move them all.
