I am just wondering what bands are like switchfoot.

They're kinda like Switchfoot but they sound more alternative. They're called Relient K (if you're into Christian rock, you've probably heard of them).

I personally dont think Switchfoot sounds anything like The Fray , but the other person that answered kinda had it right with Relient K. There is also a band called Everyday Sunday. We heard them live it was AWESOME!!!

Well, for rock/alternative, I listen to Trapt, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, and other bands like that. One of them might be similar.
