Ned to get another cause yours has seased up for like of use and being off that long and it has dryed up and rusted inside and being an electrician, I would not plug it in and come home to a burnt to the ground home. Check local auction for listings and paper and yard sales and even Local store may have one dented that will save money or buy a new one or call up dial-a-trade on the local am radio program. Good luck and dont trust that thing!

Not sure but if you're leaking freon, you'd know it'd smell a little like it's over heating.

Could just be because it was unplugged for so long.

i am guessing that the freon has leaked out.. it should only take 24 to 48 hours tops.. call your local appliance place.. or try repairclinic.com ... good luck
