the earth does not have a "weight" because weight is relative to gravitiy's pull on an object. but it does have a mass:
mass = 5.9742×10^24 kg

Quick sum:

Diameter = approx 13000 kms

Cube is 13000 x 13000 x 13000 = 2197 x 10^9

Keep it simple: 2 x 10^12 cubic kilometres

That's a cube the width of Earth. A sphere is about half of the cube of the same width:

So Earth volume = 10^12 cu kms

That's a trillion cubic kms

A cubic km = billion cu metres (1000 x 1000 x1000)

Therefore volume = 10^12 x 10^9 cubic metres

= 10^21 cubic metres

The Earth average SG = 5.5 (5.5 times denser than water)

1 cu metre water weighs 1 tonne

Therefore, mass of Earth = 10^21 x 5.5 tonnes

= 5.5 x 10^21 tonnes

= 5.5 x 10^24 kgs

A quick calculation, and comes out a bit less than the answers above, but at least we didn't just look it up.

Just out of interest, that is about 15 trillion times the mass of the entire human race. I did that calc earlier to show how daft the notion that if everybody jumped at the same time, they could affect the Earth's rotation. people get some odd ideas.

Also, I wish people didn't jump on this guy for getting mass and weight confused. As far as Earthly things are concerned they are the same thing. Let's not confuse people.

The earth cannot have a weight. An objects weight depends on the force of gravity to it. My weight is different on the Moon than it is on the Earth.

If you want something similar, how about the Earth's mass? 5.9742 x 10^24 kilograms

no clue. that would have to be measured by the gravitational attraction by the sun. Since we don't seem to be getting any closer, i'd say "0". Now if you want the earth's mass, i have no idea either but that's easier to find out, i think.
