is it right to be locked in your basement as soon as you get home (which is 4:00) until bed time (which is 9:00 o'Clock) and then you get nothing to watch or anything?

My 19-year-old son used to do that voluntarily.
Then I had the internet speed reduced. He got so bored he went out and got a job.
But seriously, shutting a kid alone in the basement for any amount of time is pretty Machiavellian. Well, at least you have the internet.

i think that this is a form of child abuse, it is illegal to hold someone in a locked basement against there will rather you are a child or an adult they can get into a lot of trouble. That is not the proper way to punish a child or any other living being.

Sounds like you've been grounded for something. Must have been serious because that's pretty harsh. But when I grounded my kids they were not allowed friends in and no TV or anything, just homework and bed.

dude when i was a teenager... i willingly spent most of my time in the basement....better than talking to my family.......and as long as they feed you no I don't think there is anything wrong with it ...you don't have an inalienable right to watch TV or play video games...try reading a book...or doing your homework
