Alright, I'm working on a Halloween costume. I'm gonna be a superhero of sorts. I'm basically going to tie a blanket around my neck and I've made armwarmers and I'm gonna make a tanktop with a logo on it. But I'm not sure what else to do... I mean, I'll make a mask and stuff, and wear boxers over jeans, but that's kinda boring. Any suggestions or something like that to help make my costume more fun and interesting?
Also, I live in Florida, so I need something that I'm not going to bake in. So don't go with things like sweaters and junk that are gonna add a bunch of heat, 'cause it's hot and humid even on a fall night.

You need a little flash, a little excitement. I would go to the fabric store and get some silver lame or gold lame, just the cheap stuff and use it as a cape. Just cut it to size and glue the edge so it doesn't fray too much. I would also recommend going out and getting some of that glitter spray for hair. Spray it all over you so that you are a glittery super hero. You could be a little more daring and wear a one piece bathing suit or leotard over some tights. I mean that is what real superheros wear isn't it? If you don't want to purchase fabric I would recommend getting a package of large sequins from a craft store and hand sew or glue them onto your clothes for the night. If you use school glue it will wash off well in the laundry. Good Luck. These are my favorite types of costumes.

OOOhhh I love to help with costumes. You could make a sponge bob several ways. Contact me for real details if you need. do you sew? That would determin how I would advise you. If you do not sew I have good Ideas for that also. There is always two pieces of card board the strap at the shoulders painted the coloer you want and you could put a pair of shorts on the card board or you could paint them on. I love halloween costumes for kids.

Bottom layer, capri leggings and tank
Top contrasting color sport bra and mini with side splits
Make a "metalic" belt, head band, and wrist cuffs from lam'e (lah-may) fabric from "Hancock fabric store" (use velcro to open/close it).
Add a few giant plastic jews from Michaels to the belt (sew on /glue on)
Roll your hair in velcro rollers, light hair spray before you wrap each one. As you take them out tease each piece of hair up high. Go for 1950's BIG hair, Spray the heck out of it.
If thats too much, go with a slick pony tail, esp with the humidity...

Dress up like ELVIRA, Black short dress are skirt, low cut, and give those old geezer's a charge,There wife's will have a fit when you come to the door looking like WOW WW.Have fun,but don't eat the candy..It's Fattening???

Save yourself the energy and expenses by wearing nothing beneath a rain coat and a floppy hat (ala Humphrey Bogart). Wherever you go just flash 'em with your raincoat and they'll go berserk !!!

Go for a retired super hero look. Make everything look saggy, add a grey wig and some wrinkle and voila!

make it sparkle....add glitter to a headband, maybe wear leggings or tights with glitter, even without under your boxers, not jeans, if its hot? Also, dye your hair to match the outfit, and paint your face.

try making a cardboard or posterboard crown with that same logo on it. you could make a fun design on your face with face paint or makeup. Have fun!

mini skirt and knee high boots, instead of boxers over tights. more sexy, and the high heeled boots are another weapon in your super hero fighting arsenal.
