Yeah. so he's not your biological father...but he is your father, the only one you ever knew. Obiously there was reason for them not to tell you. Confusion is one. Perhaps your birth father didnt' want you...do you think they are going to tell you that? No, why would they hurt you who they love. Are you looking for an argument or grudge? On the surface it looks like you have one but on deeper study you come of like an ungrateful little witch. Be happy you have a father at all...especially to him that raised you from before you were probably walking and talking. You haven't known another father and your biological father hasn't known you. Did he bother with you all these years? I think not. Go and throw your arms around the only father you'll ever have and thank him for being the best dad in the world. At least give him his due...he didn't have to be there for you... but he was and still is. Count your blessings.

It would upset me for a while, but i will realize that He is still my dad...he raised me. You are right he might not be the biological father but he has done all the rest of the work!! the biological just did the easiest part.

Well, I would be upset. Yet I woulld still love the person whom i thought was my fater...i would love him as a STEP FATHER. You can't blame your mother, she knows whats best for you. I would really be upset. Please dont hold a grude if it has happend to you. Ask questions and find answers. I hope this hasnt happened to you. Find your biological father (if he is still alive and well) and bond with him and meet him!

No, I wouldn't hold a grudge against my Mom, because, I would know that she did it for the right reasons, at the time. That's all we can do, is what we, as mothers, feel is right for our child........:)

I would wonder who the father was, what the circumstances of my birth were. If it wasn't someone creepy, like a date-rape or something, I might want to meet the guy. I would wonder if I had any other family. If it was a criminal situation I would not hold it against my mom. Imagine her trauma. She might have really bad memories of being abandoned after being taken advantage of. I would also want to know his medical history, to know of any allergies or predispositions to medical conditions, like diabetes or heart issues. I would want to hear the story, but I wouldn't want to traumatize my mom about it.

I'd be upset but I wouldn't hold a grudge. She might have good reasons for not telling me about it. Who knows.

hahaha...oh thats easy...if i found out that my father was not really my father after all these years....first i would confront my mother about it, and probably get pissed, then i would get my AK-47 ozzie, riddle my so called father's body with bullets, pin the murder on my mother , and then probably i will cash in on the trust fund savings to hire a lawyer just in case she decides to go to court. seems like a good way to me..what do u think??

Be HAPPY that you had a great DAD, who raised YOU and LOVED you AS HIS own....ANY ONE CAN DROP SPERM, THATS NOT A PARENT!.A DAD Brings you up, protects and loves you!...YOUR MOTHER kept you, Raised you, LOVED YOU also, be happy you have had 2 PARENTS in your life...Make no judgements on the deeper questions you have untill you are really MATURE enough to understand the whole picture, not what you think.

Don't sweat it. Somebody loves you, you take it from there. How would you like a biological father who could care less if you lived or died, hm?

it wouldn't make any difference to me. My dad is such an amazing man, I'm just lucky that I've gotten a chance to know him. As for knowing who my realy father really was, if he wasn't around he wasn't worth knowing anyway.
