I can't understand why we allow them to live here inthe full knowlwdge of their beliefs and activities. Why can't we just send them back to their own countries and never allow them back?

The sad fact is that many of them are home grown and simply side with terrorists just because they hate Bush or Jewish people.

To Roger D. No, you're wrong. Yes, YOUR country only joined in 1941, but the war started in 1939. Now, seeing as this was posted in the UK section, I think it's fair to assume two things. Firstly, that the question is referring to our terrorists here in the UK, like Abu Hamza, and secondly, that the answerer you so arrogantly berated is British and referring to when our country went to war. Yes, you have made yourself look like an idiot, but never mind.

Don't worry, you don't need to apologise for being a git, we're having to get used to it from your countrymen (not all by a long shot, but you are definitely included in the 'arrogant, stereotypical yank' section, which is by no means small these days). Stop assuming everyone is a yank, there is a world outside your borders you know.

Now, in response to the question, I agree. What is the logic in letting these preachers emigrate here and benefit from our society while at the same time letting them preach hate against us, saying 7/7 was glorious and that we should all be killed. The home grown ones have more of a right to be here, but it still makes them ungrateful little sods and something should be done about anyone who advocates those beliefs.

I can't believe that one of your respondents here got a major time line wrong -- our actual invovement in the 2nd world war was started by Japan on Dec 7, 1941 and on that day we also went to war with Germany and Italy as well. The war was not fought for "freedom of speech", but to stop the spread of Fascism and militarism. Yes, some countries started the 2nd world war prior to 1941 -- China was involved in the early 30's in a conflict with Japan and the European countries formally went to war in 1939 -- but there were instances of Germany annexing sections of other country's territory since they believed that the parts of that country were really part of Germany. This went unopposed since most of the other European counties and the US were dominated by pacifists and appeasers -- just like today----

It seems as though we, US citizen's allow ourselves to be fooled into thinking that we should always act gentlemanly (womanly) towards others who don't have as much as we do, both economically or freedom-wise. And we always allow others with agendas to have "free speech" but, Heaven help you if your version of "free speech" doesn't correspond to theirs--- then you'll be branded as some vile thing and then booed and or hooted or made fun of by the "do gooders".

We have allowed ourselves to be fooled by the "DO-GOODERS" and we have to once again gain control over our own, media. entertainers, schools and universities ( I am a retired professor so I know what I'm talking about when we talk colleges) and allow "COMMON SENSE" to come top the forefront once again.

AS far as our politicans are concerned-- they are afraid of the titles that the DO-GOODERS will place on them and will not really deal with any substantial issue -- terrorism, illegal aliens, etc. They can't see past their next election and as you might be able to see -- the political party that is out of power will try anything to get back into power and try to force their agenda on the public. Notice I said their agenda -- their's doesn't have to agree with the general public's views-- Just look at what Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, etc are saying now -- don't forget that they agreed to mostly everything bad and want to give away what little we have left to the Mexicans, etc.......

It's questions like yours that make me feel good about our future once again.

I would like to..,look at the ex president of Iran speaking at a college in michigan? i may not be right with the state. We have colleges that are filled with the commune living, peace loving, government hating hippies and they continue to spew their opinions in colleges and some students are even afraid to voice a different opinion as they are afraid their grades will suffer. We have the appeasers everywhere we turn now and it sickens me..,I have always felt that we are not a perfect country but I THANK GOD,that I am in this country and not in Iran or another terrorist country. We have our courts to thank for the terrorists now having the ability to sue our military..,thanks to the liberal judges who love the terrorists.

Quite clearly due to the "politically correct brigade" as most terrorists barring Northern Ireland as this has supposedly been sorted!! most terrorists are religiously motivated, and of an ethnic origin.

People are scared to stand up to this for fear of being labled a "racist" after all we can't use the name "black board" though we can use the name "white board"

Quite simply policitcal correctness gone potty

One of the greatest things about this great country is it's diversity. Without which, we would all be the same.
