I'm going to a relative's wedding in Chicago at the end of September. I'm from down South and don't have a clue what the weather will be like at that time of year. It will be an afternoon wedding (3:00 I think) and inside. I'm usually cold, so keep that in mind! Thank you for your help!

First of all, DON'T wear white; especially a white dress. It can be taken as an insult; like you're trying to steal the bride's thunder. Usually afternoon weddings are a tad more casual so I would say you can wear a pant or skirt suit. Stay away from dark colors like Black and Brown. Light Blue and Grey are always a good bet. Wear a top that is very feminine and shows little cleavage; if the event is more dressy, try to find a top with a bit of sparkle. Top of the outfit with a pair of fantastic earrings.

I went to a wedding at the end of september a couple of years ago and I wore something very comfortable, long, to my knees, but a dress. My shoulders were out, but i got a little chilly when the reception was over. You can have your feet out, cause it'll be like 70-75 at 3:00pm. Wear heels and you can wear something with OR without sleeves. As long as its dressy, pretty, not too floral or solid print and NOT WHITE (LOL), you'll be fine. If you not in the wedding, no one will notice you...

you can go to Yahoo and look at the weather. Usually it will get pretty chilly in Chicago. If I were you, I would wear something like a pant suit. If you do decide to wear a dress, try not to wear cotton. Bring a light coat.

okay, iwas there at in the last couple of day of september and early october and if you are not used to colder weather, you will need somthing warmer. If it's outdoors, i would go with a long sleeved dress, long, with stocking underneath, maybe a beaded sweater... it was like 50 degrees outside..but then agin, check the weather forcasts.

NEVER wear a white dress to a wedding. thats offensive to the bride. a gold cute and fancy dress is always fashionable, w/ a cute shawl or sweater to match. a black small clutch bag and black heels look great too. black or gold eye makeup. look below. its a great example :
