Are you just asking for a count of folks that had this problem?

I was able to get rid of the fleas off my cat by using Advantage. The fleas in the house were another issue, but they died off in the winter and never came back.

This is a huge job but it can be resolved.

First to help get started. Suck some Seven dust or bug power of some sort (2 or 3 tablespoons) into your vacuum cleaner.
Vacuum everything under the sun. All that you vacuum up will die in the bag.

Then after that take the bag and package it into a plastic bag tie it up and place in the outside garbage can. NOT INSIDE.

Now bug bomb to get everywhere you couldn't reach. One bomb per room. Do not use too many they can actually blow up your house.

This will not kill the eggs and eggs hatch every 8 to 10 days.

At ten days do the whole bug dust vacuuming thing again. And Possibly bug bomb again.

If they are really BAD, it may take 2 to 3 times.

HAVE FUN!!!!! ( My cat got them in my brand new carpeting a few years ago. My Husband still hates the cat.

Our issues were with fleas in the yard, and those buggers were knocked out with a chemical, I think it's called seven dust. Then if that doesn't work, use bug bombs in the house, with you and any pets gone, of course. If you have pets, flea sprays or collars, then a flea dip at the vet if those don't work. Most of all, avoid people who type in all caps because they cause violent headaches. Good luck!

Oh, it was the most miserable experience of my life. It took us about a month to get fid of them and there were millions. First, we sprayed bug poison all over the yard to make sure we weren't bringing them in. Then we tried a lot of stuff, the think that finally killed them was boric acid. We put it on everything, the floors and furniture and left it for a few days and them vacuumed it up and we haven't had any problems since. We reapplied the Borax several times just to make sure no more hatched.

My youngest cat had them at one time. (We rescued him off of a busy highway, and he must of gotten some before hand.) Best treatment for your house is to shampoo the carpets. Your vet can give you a dip for your pets.
