.. you are getting a hole punched through your toungue .. how do you think it will feel ??

.. maybe you are just too foolish to make such an important decision. Don't get one. It won't make you cool. It is just a sexual accessory.

No! A tongue piercing does not hurt. Your tongue is a mussel and they flatten your tongue with prongs then they stick the needle up through the tongue. I have had my tongue pierced over a year and i wouldn't take it out for anything! Now getting your nose pierced is another story! That hurt like Hell for me! But the whole tongue deal didn't hurt.. the only bad thing about that is, you need to keep mouth wash with you for the first week or so. after you get your tongue pierced it will swell up and you can't eat any solid food for about 3 days to a week. I lost 10 pounds when i got mine pierced just the fact that i couldn't swallow! But if you are wanting to get it done then i would say go for it! It is something that you will not regret!!!

The tongue is one of the least painful piercings you can get. As long as your piercer is competent and experienced, you should have nothing to worry about. You can look forward to a little swelling (3-5 days) and some mild soreness. When I do someones tongue, I always recommend getting crushed ice immediately and rinsing their mouth out with BIOTENE mouthwash (available @ wal-mart) for about 6 weeks any time you eat, drink, smoke, kiss, touch your barbell or let anyone else touch your barbell. BIOTENE is totally safe to use as often as you like because it contains no alcohol or dyes. Other popular brands of mouthwash can severely irritate a new oral piercing because of their contents. BIOTENE was originally made for people in chemotherapy so it's very mild, but highly effective!!
There ya go!

no piercing is going to be pleasant, but with your tounge the actual needle going through and putting the bar in isnt that bad, i was quite suprised by how little it hurt its when it swells afterwards it does hurt slightly, it all depends on your own pain thresh hold. there are no real risks if you get it done by a profesional, if you get it done by a druged up back street boy then the riskd are endless and he/she could pierce through a vien and that is very veryu bad. If your going to get it done make sure you chose a reputable place and make sure you really want it done, and dont try eating a pasty after 4 hours of having it done catching it on the front of your teeth and ripping the hole slightly THAT HURTS !!

Having my tongue pierced did not hurt me, it may have bled a little, but not much. Immediately after having it pierced, I drank vodka and used an antiseptic mouth wash several times a day for a week.

I have it pierced for nearly 9 years, I have never had any problems with it nor have I chipped a tooth. I banged my lip stud on my teeth several times after having that pierced, till I got used to it.

Very much so...
If you decide to get it done, the piercer will give you a list of what you can and cannot do..foods to eat, what to avoid..when to gargle.etc As with any piercing there is a chance that the body will not accept the new piercing and try to push it back out, resulting in a cyst, infections come from improper aftercare..good luck and ignore what other people say..it's your choice! pierce on!

I think someone putting a metal spike through any muscle in the body may hurt! and also swell or get infected! I'm not against piercings at all, but if your thinking of getting it done in such a dangerous place know your stuff adn get to a doctor if you do have any problems!

You can get it numb before they pierce it if you are afraid. It bleeds like a mutha I'm afraid...also, the biggest risks besides infection and possible nerve damage is chipped teeth from the barbell you use to keep the hole open..find a more less painful original less painful way to stand out!

i had my tongue pierced a few years ago and yes it hurts after you have it done, when your having it done make sure you go to a good place, ask around friends and their friends to get a place recommended to you, make sure they have sterilised equipment to do the job and then dont worry about it too much , look at all the risks involved in it and make your decision based on that.
good luck :)

Hi
no it does not hurt but it is quite scary to have your tongue in a clamp, you cant swallow its not nice. However you do chip the enamel of the back of your teeth with the stud. My mouth felt constantly dirty and the plaque around the barbel is grim seriously!!
On the up side I loved it and you can give amazing bjs.
Try it it heals very fast if you dont like it.
