Better specific representation, and less likelihood that two parties would lock up the elections and exclude all other viewpoints.

A multi-party coalition system also prevents power from being concentrated into one party as easily.

It won't ever happen. A large majority of people vote republican/democratic just because that is what their parents do, or that is what they were told to do, or whatever. Most people don't even know what each party represents. There are parties other than republican/democratic but people don't ever pay any attention to what their issues are. They might agree with them if they do, but they don't want to "waste their vote" There will never be more than 2 strong parties.

For that to happen there would have to be proportional representation in voting instead of the present plurality wins system. And the catch 22 is that the present ruling dictatorship won't let that happen now and not even if we go back, I hope, to a 2 party system. But if your system came to be somehow, the USA would be better for it.

Why would WE the USA want to. The system has worked over 200 years and the USA is the envy of the rest of the world. Would not make any sense
