First of all if hes lawyer said don't then don't. Second if he has filed for divorce then it won't be long untill you and he can be together. Divorce is a serious thing and when it comes to the law he is not yet available to be seen with anyone except his wife and are you sure hes getting a divorce and not stringing you along untill he can figure out how to work his way back into the house. I'm not saying this to be a jerk I just know that sometimes you can never be too sure.

Do you know for a fact he is separated or has he just told you this. It seems fishy that you and he can't be seen by anyone, whats the difference if he is truly separated? When I separated and divorced my lawyer had nothing to say about what I did during the entire process. Why not ask him flat out, and if he doesn't give a really good explanation then I would stop seeing him because you are the other woman.

No, life is too short. We are only here for a little while; in the meantime, during your lonely hours, do something that has a purpose & a reason, get involved in improving this nation. In March, 2005, this song was performed at a Diamond Rio concert. They received an immediate standing ovation, and continue to do so every time they perform it! Sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it was considered politically incorrect. Consequently, the song was never released to the public. If this song speaks to your heart, share it with friends and loved ones. Then let us cease being the silent majority and join together -- not as a particular political party, but as Americans!

Legal issues aside, I would be leery of dating a man that is only separated, and for such a short time to boot. He may or may not still have a connection to his ex, their problems may be resolved which would leave you high and dry. Even if he is truly through with her, he may be on the rebound which makes him dubious as a long-term prospect.

If he truly loves you, he will be willing to wait. If the separation from you turns him away, or towards someone else, count yourself lucky that you found that out now before you became too invested.

Hello??? What did you miss girlfriend?

Well, I will be happy to tell you.

1) This is a government forum and........
2) Never date a married man, separated or not.

That is if you value your life, respect yourself, and have an honest reverence for the Word of God.

Thou shall not commit fornication.
Thou shall not commit adultery.

Since he's been separated for a relatively short period of time, it would be hard for him to prove that he wasn't in a relationship with you prior to their separation. Therefore, when the divorce comes through, if his wife chose to take him to divorce court, it would be hard for him to prove his fidelity during the time they were together, and depending on which state he lives in, could result in at least half of his earnings going to her for alimony, until such time as she remarries, if she ever does -- he would be considered at fault for the breakup of the marriage, and would pay the consequences. Therefore, until the divorce is finalized and done with, I'd lay low or even curtail dating him, just to be safe.

He's made the decision to move on, obviously, because he is with you. HE's the one who has something to lose here, and still he has made the decision to be with you. Don't worry.

His lawyers probably told him that because he was dating you while he was with his wife.
