Vladislav Tretiak - I was too young to remember him in his prime, but I do remember my family watching him in Olympics and swearing constantly. Then the neighbors would all talk about rumors he had operations to make him unnaturally flexible, or other types of cheating. It was hilarious, but his Int. records were just ridiculous.
Kirk McLean - The goalie for the Canucks when I was finally old enough to understand the game. Not flashy or famous, but no one was more technically sound. Kept bad teams competitive for years.
Glen Hanlon - Goalie for the Canucks before I really knew the game, but would pretend to be him when playing street hockey. Funny, since most Canucks games were not on TV, was surprised to see he had red hair - (Which explains the nickname carrot). Wasn't the best goalie out there, but had the best memories.

Marc Savard- This guy is only a genious even as it comprises setting up performs. He can forsee performs before they even ensue and his hockey IQ is wonderful. he's a humble guy, amusing a minute, and may continuously %. up his crew, even even as he's not any longer on the ice. many of the passes he makes are basically rediculous, like how the hell did he get that %. by 6 adult men and nevertheless take care of to get that %. proper on the tape of his teamate. Did I aspect out he may also placed the %. contained in the internet? i actually wish he receives properly quickly and may re-connect the Black and Gold. Patrice Bergeron- he's between the hardest operating gamers I have ever considered. he's also a really sensible participant and also you may actually continuously assume him to be at his proper sport in and sport out. No ask your self he replaced into drafted for crew Canada contained in the 2010 iciness Olympics Sydney Crosby - i do not look after the Penguins in any respect, i'm satisfied the B's tore them a sparkling *** Wed nite, yet as a play, I beleive he's the proper there is now and definalty contained in the authentic 10 continually gamers. the way he sees and performs the sport is basically at an excellent-human aspect for an NHL participant. it is largely his third season, and so some distance each 365 days he's contained in the authentic 3 for scoring. he's very mature in spite of his youthful age, truly loves the sport, and has great Sportsmanship. he's definatly at a league of his own.

All three goalies brought about a different style of play that revolutionized the art of goaltending.
1) Patrick Roy: Brought back the classic butterfly that was slowy fading away by goalies like Hasek, Potvin, etc. Leader in all-time wins and led the Avs to a couple of cups.
2) Marty Brodeur: Only reason he is behind Roy is because he is behind him in wins. But his 8 straight 40+ winning season and incredibly low 2.88 career GAA are unbelieveable and his ability to handle the puck showed that goalies too need puck handling skills. He is the reason the devils have won three cups over the past decade.
3) Dominik Hasek: Simple.....no style...just did whatever he could to keep the puck out of the net and won a cup doing it. Brought about a new exciting style of goaltending that nobody can copy.

Tough question, take it easy on my little brain.
Okay let's try this
Now these are my favorites, in no way intended to represent the best goalies. I wouldn't attemp that one.
1) Ken Drydan, Great goalie, but only on the first shot, thank god with his team there wasn't usually a second.
2) Billy Smith, You had to love how much you hated him.
3) Martin Brodeur, So technically sound great player to watch except when your team is facing him.
