The statue of liberty - it's from a glorious time when the world looked up to America and the freedom and promise it once represented. And it was a gift from another country, France. It would be nice if it could somehow recapture that glory by showing its potential again.

The American flag is my favorite symbol for the U.S. because even though I don't always agree with everything we do as a nation, I think the flag is an excellent tool for unifying everyone who lives here.

The Bald Eagle because it represents strength and power. It's only found in North America and it's on the money I like to spend.

Our Flag...we cover our dead soldiers caskets with it....we fly it proudly...we fly it half staff when someone important passes...we see it at our parades....and I cry when I sing or hear someone singing "The Star Spangled Banner"
