Well, you're sort of always going to be selling something!
You could do a sponsorship. Have a company sponsor you and wear their colors or whatever it is that you can you. You can do a dance/skate-a-thon. Have the team members get people to sponsor them. For example, some one will donate $1 for every 15mins a member skates. You could also have a raffle if you can get local companies to donate prizes. If no one will donate prizes, you can do a 50/50 raffle. This is where the total proceeds from the raffle are split between you and the person with the winning ticket.

Have you looked into local sponsorships? Some area businesses might be willing to give you money if you have their name on your duffle bags, programmes etc. A charity auction where people donate their stuff and a volunteer auctioneer sells it might be fun but you need a cohesive group to market it too. You could even auction off some skating lessons sort of "spend the day with the team" thing..

for my team we do candy selling but you can also go around to your local businesses as i have learned most all people are will to give if you explain that this really means something to you...you can also do a fundraiser i am a girl scout and we had girl scout day...the place we went to gave us the night for free and then we sold tickets for a couple of dollars...maybe you can do like a family skate and sent flyer's to the elementary schools...most families will do anything to spend time with their kids...then you can do the obvious you know car washes and stuff...i wish you the best of luck and i hope you get all of your money and if you go good luck in competitions

hold a 50-50 raffle near where you live, ask for donations, if all else fails, bank robbing is always fun.
