I used the Nationwide building society a few months ago. It took a few minutes, was dead simple and the cost was about £10. I think it was a flat fee up to a certain amount. I sold about £4K worth for that. But I've since gone onto online trading (i recommend IWEBsharedealing.co.uk ) so unfortunately I've lost the phone number. they've a website ( www.nationwide.co.uk )which will probably give you the info..
