Well first you need to open software that enables you do use this. If you got this feature with windows XP, you should probably have SonicNow, or RecordNow to burn cds.
When you burn a cd there is a label option, you open this up and you should see the information on how to use the lightscribe. If it's not there I would suggest scanning your computer for anything called Scribe or lightscribe to try and locate it.
Remember that you need special lightscribe cds in order to use it. It will not work with regular cds. Best Wishes

Roxio has good softwarw. You can go to the lightscribe website and download. They also have instructions. I have a new drive that has updated features. You can now use your own picture for a template. The website also has downloadable templates.
Basically, you burn the disc and then flip it over and burn the lightscribe label. Good luck and let me now how you do.

you need software that can burn it to your discs. nero has only recently brought its software up to date on this. you will need version 7 before it will work.
