No, not too long...issues come up and final settlement decree can take a while. Usually no worries are needed, but in some people's cases they have found other people they want to be with and have a hard time. My suggestion: Wait. You just got out of one mess, no need to hurry into another, right? Prayers =)

It took me 3 months from the day I filed to resolution but there was no property disagreements...
My sisters divorce took 22 months to complete because they disagreed about who got everything from the house to the papertowels..
With a property disagreement 7 months and running is pretty average..

Divorces can be over in 90 days or drag on for years. If you really want it over maybe both parties need to really think about what they want and the money they are wasting on the lawyers. Material things can be replaced. Most people pay the lawyer more in fees that what they are arguing over.

It all depends on how effective your attorney is. Mine took less than 30 days once we tracked her down to serve her with papers. It took 3 years and ten months to do that.

60 days. I hired an attorney, laid the cash down and told him to take care of it. He did and very effeciently too. My attorney didn't play around when it came to my ex acting like a fool.
